The 13th annual Ohio Grain Farmers Symposium will be held this Wednesday, December 1st at the Der Dutchman in Plain City.

The year’s agenda includes both of the annual meetings for the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association, and the Ohio Soybean Association.

Featured speakers during the morning general session include: Chief Terry Cosby of the Natural Resource Conservation Service in Washington D.C., and Jay Truitt, CEO of Policy Solutions, discussing Tax Policy and the big changes ahead for American Agriculture.

The morning breakout sessions include: Nutrient News, What we know about TMDL with Elizabeth Toot-Levy, Project Scientist from Geosyntec;

Elizabeth Toot-Levy, Project Scientist, Geosyntec Consultants

Renewable Diesel with Matt Herman, Director of Environmental Services at the National Biodiesel Board; and Supply Chain Disruption with Ben Brown of the University of Missouri.

In the afternoon, Ben Brown will lead a general session discussion about the factors driving recent and projected developments in the agricultural markets. Jonathan Coppess, Director of the Gardner Agriculture Policy Program at the University of Illinois will lead a Farm Bill discussion.
